KCR’s rude shock to Jagan

KCR’s rude shock to Jagan

The Telangana Rashtra Samithi (TRS) decision to field its candidate in the by-election to be held in Parakala constituency, which would fell vacant with the disqualification of rebel MLA Konda Surekha, came as a rude shock to YS Jagan.
Earlier, Jagan announced that he would not field his party candidates in the constituencies, which fell vacant due to resignations of MLAs in support to the Telangana movement. In return, Jagan expected two favours from the TRS party. One of them happens to be – Allowing him to tour in Telangana districts as part of the Odarpu Yatra. Secondly, TRS should not field its candidate against sitting MLA Konda Surekha in the by-elections in Parakala constituency.
However, the TRS floor leader Etela Rajender on Wednesday made it clear that his party would be contesting in all the constituencies where by-elections would be held, including Parakala. On reacting to a question on Jagan’s Odarpu Yatra in Telangana, Etela Rajender said,”Jagan wouldn’t be allowed to tour in Telangana, without making his stand clear on statehood issue”.
The chances of Konda Surekha winning the by-election are bleak as YSR Congress party didn’t announce a clear stand on statehood issue till date. On the other hand, TRS might repeat the Mahabubabad incident if Jagan try to re-start his Odarpu Yatra without taking a stand in favour of Telangana state.

YS Jagan – Businessman of the Decade

YS Jagan – Businessman of the Decade

The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) on Monday revealed that they have come to a confirmation that Jagan amassed wealth by misusing his father’s office during 2004-2009.
The vice-chairman of Jagati Publications and Jagan’s finalcial auditor, Vijay Sai Reddy, is said to be the brain behind latter’s business empire.
“Jagan influenced his father and the public servants and prompted them to issue orders in favour of his companies (Jagathi Publications, Sandur Power Company Limited, Carmel Asia Holdings Limited, Bharathi Cement Corporation Limited and etc.,). This exercise resulted in a huge loss to the state government and gain to Jagan. Jagan, Vijay Sai Reddy and 70 others cheated the government between 2004 to 2009,” Venkatesh, CBI superintendent of police.
“Jagan should be declared as the Businessman of the decade,” said a CBI officer, who spoke under anonymity.
Except the beneficiaries, none of them have bought shares in Jagati Publications at a premium. And also these investments were a result of illegal gains from the office of the former Chief Minister YSR. How can a company (Jagati Publications), which recorded a loss of Rs 250 crores in 4 years could attract an  investment of Rs 1, 246 crore? That’s the magic produced by Jagan!!!

Jagan’s arrest – A boon for YSR Congress

Jagan’s arrest – A boon for YSR Congress

The talk in the political circles is that, YSR Congress president YS Jagan Mohan Reddy would be arrested any time soon, most probably by the end of January 2012.
Apart from arrest of Jagan by the CBI, the Enforcement Directorate (ED) is making moves to block the accounts of Jagathi Publications (Sakshi TV and Newspaper) in the coming days.
“In case of Jagan’s arrest, YS Vijayamma would continue the Odarpu Yatra, which was intended to console the families of victims of YSR’s sudden demise,” said YSR Congress party spokesperson, under anonymity.
“The reports in a section of media claims that YS Jagan would merge his party with the Congress party ahead of 2014 Assembly polls. These speculations will be declared as false and baseless, once Jagan is arrested. His (Jagan’s) arrest will be a boon for YSR Congress party and would also be a new begining in the politics of Andhra Pradesh for sure,” adds the spokesperson.
