ANIL KUMBLE FACING FORGING CASE
Bangalore: The Karnataka High Court on Friday issued a notice to the police seeking explanation for their inactiveness in filing a First Information Report (FIR) against former cricketer Anil Kumble based on a complaint by his wife’s ex-husband.
Jagirdar, ex-husband of Kumble’s wife Chetana, filed a petition in the Karnataka High Court asking to direct the police to file an FIR against Kumble for allegedly forging his signature to obtain passport for his stepdaughter. He alleged that the police has not registered an FIR on his complaint lodged on December 26, 2011.
According to reports, Kumble pretended like his wife’s ex-husband. Though Jagirdar’s name has been mentioned as father in the passport, Kumble signed in the signature column to mislead the passport authorities.
