Businessman collections dropped

There is a huge decline in the collections (First Day – 9.03 crores, Second Day – 3.97 crores) of Mahesh Babu’s Businessman. Though the makers of the film claimed that all the tickets for the first four days have been sold out even before the release with the advance booking facility, that didn’t reflect in the collections and eventually raising many doubts.
One reason for the huge decline is because of another big release ‘Bodyguard’, which stars Venkatesh and Trisha, in the Sankranthi race. Few section of audience (Family) have decided to stay away from ‘Businessman’ due to the Adult content, despite the film having a Universal Star like Mahesh Babu in the lead. Instead, they are preferring ‘Bodyguard’, which is touted to be a clean family entertainer.
As of now, the chances of Businessman crossing Dookudu collections look bleak.

Bloody Fights Between Mega and Mahesh Fans

Nellore, Narthaki Centre has become witness for the clashes of Megastar's and Superstar's fans. Reports say that 'records' are the reason for the conflicts between these two fan groups.

When overwhelmed fans of Ram Charan tried to erect flexi-sign board, which state the records of his recent movie 'Racha', Mahesh Babu's admirers obstructed it. They too wanted to erect another sign board that claims all 'Racha' records are bogus and only 'Dookudu' 'Businessman' records are true. With a fight erupting between the two groups, their supporters joined at large to make it a big scene, which eventually led to fighting with sticks. Police have turned up at the scene on time and have taken situation under control according to reports.

Film Nagar is shocked with these happenings in Nellore and big-wigs are saying that fans are going over-board in promoting their heroes. Let us hope stars will interfere into the matter and cool down the issue.

Pawan Kalyan Vs Mahesh Babu- Who Is Big?

Pawan Kalyan Vs Mahesh Babu- Who Is Big?
Big heroes and their demand among the masses has always been a special thing. And in Tollywood, the star frenzy and their power is often in great heights and scales. Now, two men have been ruling the roost in the Tollywood circuit and both have a different graph when it comes to the box office. They are the duo of Pawan Kalyan and Mahesh Babu. So, the point of focus among many cine intellectuals is, who among the two is bigger.
In the case of Mahesh, he scored a hit with ‘Dookudu’ but it had a strong
presence of director Sreenu Vaitla’s hand in it. Mahesh also scored a
blockbuster with ‘Pokiri’ and ‘Businessman’ but here again, there was a
hand of the director Puri Jagannadh. However, that doesn’t mean
Mahesh has no contribution of his own. His charisma and his skills
as an actor are undoubtedly exceptional. And the following he
generates among the youth and female audience is phenomenal.
The thing that worked for him was the choice of scripts and the directors.

In the case of Pawan, though he has scored flops in the recent past,
the openings have been huge for the first weekend. And if the film
gets even a little better talk then it effortlessly gets into a superhit mode.
According to certain statistics, few of Pawan’s films which scored flops
showed only 30% difference between the collections on first day and
last day of screening. And Pawan’s presence if extremely strong among
the masses and youth audience, this is one area where Mahesh also
finds it hard to compete.

But the fact remains that Pawan is yet to beat Mahesh. Now, it is
heard that Pawan is thinking of teaming up with branded and ace
directors of Tollywood instead of relying on Kollywood imports.
If that happens then the percentage of Pawan scoring a success
increases by nearly 40% right at the start. In today’s time, Pawan
Kalyan is the only star who can beat Mahesh Babu and all he needs
to do is join hands with the likes of a Vytla or Puri Jagan or Rajamouli.
Let us wait to see what the future holds in store for both the stars.

Mahesh Babu and Ram Charan to clash ?

Mahesh Babu and Ram Charan to clash ?

Tollywood has seen amazing battles between top heroes since long. How one can forget rivalries between NTR vs ANR, along with Krishna, Krishnam Raju and Sobhan Babu. Then came the entry of Natasimha Balakrishna and Megastar Chiranjeevi. Recently young turks like Ram Charan,Jr NTR, Mahesh Babu carried that mantle and it has generated lot of heat in tollywood.

Mega Powerstar Ram Charan and Prince Mahesh Babu's waged exciting battles right from 'Magadheera', 'Dookudu' and 'Businessman' and Ram Charan is keen on continuing with 'Racha'. These young stars and their fans is engaged in battle of records, collections and rankings. Now they are taking their battle to higher level, the hollywood of Indian Industry. Though Prince Mahesh said he is not interested in bollywood,it is very much likely that he will be making his bollywood debut under Puri Jagannath's direction basking under 'Businessman' glory.

Cherry already announced his intention to make a blast in bollywood with remake of Big B Amitabh's yesteryear superhit 'Zanjeer'. Many wonder if they are vying for the top spot in Bollywood will they compete with fake records or in a true battle for their quest for glory. Bollywood is the real stage for them where powerful movies turn out to be grossers while the rest fade into oblivion quickly.

'Businessman 2' Suspence breaks !

'Businessman 2' Suspence breaks !

A lot has been happening since the time 'Businessman' has arrived and the success wave it has created. Things got into a major frenzy after director Puri Jagannadh announced that he would be doing a sequel to it and it would feature prince Mahesh Babu in a dual role.

However, the speculations and confusions increased when Puri announced that he would be doing a film with Pawan Kalyan. There was also a talk that the sequel has been shelved or left in the cold storage. Just when everyone were beginning to give up, here is the latest update.

Sources say the project is very much on and it would be hitting the floors in the year end. For now, Puri would be busy with his new project while Mahesh will wrap up his projects with Srikanth Addala and Sukumar to get ready for the sequel. So, get set for this one.

Mahesh's power punch on Censor Board

Mahesh's power punch on Censor Board

The success meet of Superstar Mahesh Babu has planted a doubt in the minds of film lovers over the transparency in regards to censorship issues. In the past, there were reports about the double standards of Censor Board members. And Mahesh's recent outburst has made it public.

When media quizzed him about the excessive beeps in the film, Mahesh replied,"We too felt that some of the beeps were unnecessary. The Censor Board allowed such kind of words in some of the films. I don't know, why they raised objection to our film. That's why, the number of beeps have increased".

How can the Censor Board members justify blurring the legs of the Item Girl in Businessman, when they permitted the deep cleavage shows in some films? Despite having Adult content, few films get away easily with little cuts, less/no beeps and an 'A' or 'U/A' certificate. While others get punished by coming under the scissors of Censor.

Mahesh Babu dropped out 'Businessman 2'

Mahesh Babu dropped out 'Businessman 2'

The thundering success of 'Businessman' still continues and as it is racing towards a blockbuster, many got a surprise shock when director Puri Jagannadh indicated the possibilities of a sequel. Apparently, the frenzy doubled with the news that it would be more like a clash between 'Businessman' and 'Pokiri' since Mahesh will be seen in dual role.

However, the update is that this project may not happen. Apparently, Puri has got the chance to work with Pawan Kalyan and he is keen on giving his best shot. On the other hand, Mahesh is preparing for his new project 'Seetamma Vaakitlo Sirimalle Chettu' followed by the other project with Sukumar.

The cine folks say "Given the tight schedules of both Puri and Mahesh, it may not be possible for the sequel to happen so soon. In between, any change can happen. But then, the concept of the sequel is very exciting so it will be nice if the project materializes. Let us see how things take shape."

Mahesh Babu blindly follows him !

Mahesh Babu blindly follows him !

Puri Jagannath was in desperate need of a hit, when he got Mahesh Babu signed in for Businessman. Mahesh Babu and Puri Jagannath combinational Pokiri was a blockbuster long ago. That might have worked well for Puri to get Mahesh Babu as his Hero again. Now Businessman turned out to be super hit and Puri got what he wanted. No doubt Mahesh Babu would be happiest with back to back blockbusters.

When asked about signing a Puri's films, when the director is struggling with consecutive disasters, Mahesh babu says that he had complete confidence on Puri ! Mahesh Babu was not even told the complete plot until 15 days of shooting. Mahesh reveals that he doesn't want to interfere in director's job.

Mahesh Babu got much matured as an actor with Businessman and he gives all the credit to his director. Says that Puri was in anger to score a hit and the Businessman dialogues show the same. Mahesh babu believes in Puri and blindly followed him. The result is Businessman !

Mahesh Businessman Highlights

Mahesh  Businessman Highlights

Mahesh Babu’s Businessman which is touted to be an out and out action entertainer on the lines of his record breaking hit Pokiri is gearing up for a world-wide release on January 13th. The film has many highlights and few of the film are listed below:
Mahesh Babu - The name itself is enough to make the film lovers throng into the theaters. As usual, he steals the show in this film too. Mahesh Babu’s characterization in this film will add a new dimension to his image. He has delivered a stellar performance.
Dialogues - The one-liners written by director Puri Jagannath are said to be the major hightlight of the film. Puri’s strength lies in elevating heroism and this film will definitely take that to the next level.
Mahesh-Kajal chemistry - Mahesh Babu found his perfect match in Kajal, who is a right mix of beauty and talent. The lip-lock scene between the duo is a treat to watch. They shared a terrific on-screen chemistry that works big time after the release.
Songs and background score - The songs have already become chartbusters. Around 11 lakhs copies have been sold on the first day of release, which tells the success story. ‘Sir Ostharra’ song has become a rage these days. Thaman has spent a lot of time for the re-recording of Businessman and the output is rocking!
Script and Screenplay - The script of this film is a one of it’s kind. It takes a lot of guts to do the stuff, which is out of the box. Both Mahesh and Puri should be given credit for attempting this kind of film. The film is narrated in a racy and riveting way. This fast-paced gangster movie will keep you on the edge of your seat.
Businessman was shot in just 74 working days and Mahesh worked for 65 days. The film is all set to release across 1600 screens worldwide and is going to re-write the opening weekend box office records created by Dookudu, irrespective of the talk. Get ready to have a blast this Sankranthi!!!

Nandamuri close watch on Businessman

Nandamuri close watch on Businessman

NTR has been challenged by Mahesh babu  with two biggest hits. Despite having superb fan following and upper hand over Mahesh babu in mass centers, Nandamuri has’t produced a big hit like Pokiri or Dookudu yet.  His fans believe that NTR could beat Ram charan’s Magadheera if everything falls in place. So beating Pokiri and Dookudu may not be an big issue, they say!
Until now Jr.NTR dint live up to those expectations as most of his hit films were limited to a particular range. Now Mahesh babu comes again with Businessman, which has every chance to land somewhere between Pokiri and Dookudu, if it gets positive talk from the audience.
The pressure upon Jr.NTR would increase furthermore if that happens. So, he has been closely watching it in every aspect. Film nagar sources say that NTR too is looking for a gigantic release for Dammu in summer. The other reason for NTR to keep an eye on Businessman is, he has already signed a film under Puri direction and he would be interested to see if the star director is back in form or not!

Can Nandamuri survive the Mahesh Heat?

Can Nandamuri survive the Mahesh Heat?

Nandamuri Taraka Ratna might be feeling that Jr. NTR’s success lies in his name and that is why he insists on calling him as NTR too. He got that name stamped on Nandeeswarudu posters and looks like he has already grown in confidence.
Taraka Ratna is yet to register his first hit in his career which is close to ten years. We doubt if Nandamuri fans have any hopes left in him. But as far as Tarak is concerned he has got enough in him to compete with the current league of heroes. He believes that Nandeeswarudu launches him right there on the top.
Taraka Ratna does not fear to take on red hot Mahesh for this Pongal. He is locking horns with him as Nandeeswarudu joins the Pongal race with Businessman and Bodyguard. People expected this film to stay out of the competition when there is a reschedule of B and B release. But Taraka Ratna too pushed his film by a day and is looking to take on the big guns. Even if his film stands a chance to compete with the biggies or not, his confidence has to be lauded!

Mahesh Babu’s No confidence in Businessman

Mahesh Babu’s No confidence in Businessman
Mahesh Babu always likes to come up with statements that build hype over a film. He said Khaleja would be record breaking hit, but that didn’t. He stated that Dookudu will be the biggest grosser in his career. That is one heck of a statement to make as he predicted it to surpass his biggest hit Pokiri.
Mahesh Babu’s confidence in Dookudu turned out to be true as it went on to become all time top 2 film in Telugu cinema history. Fans have been waiting to see similar statement from Mahesh Babu for Businessman. But instead of going wild about Businessman he came up with rather mild statement.
Mahesh said that Businessman USP would be Puri Jagannadh’s dialogs and this is his by far his best work as dialog writer. He didn’t give any statements relating to records or which indicates the success range. This is raising doubts over his low confidence in Businessman as the industry buzz is already on the negative side!
