Akkineni and Daggubati heroes fail!

The younger generation heroes from Akkineni and Daggubati families have been failing time and again to impress. Rana Daggubati's latest film Naa Ishtam turned out to be a dud, and moreover it is a big letdown when it comes to Rana's acting skills. Rana proved that he cannot carry a commercial film on his shoulders. Any other able hero would have made Naa ishtam a watchable fare. 

                Unless he comes up with an extra ordinary show in his future ventures, Rana Daggubati cannot win the faith of audience. Young Akkineni hero Naga Chaitanya is better than Rana in few aspects, but he too needs to sharpen his skills to be considered as an actor to watch out for. He is at home while portraying roles of boy next door in the films YMC and 100% Love. 

                Naga Chaitanya failed to impress when he did larger than life roles in Bezawada and Dhada. He is yet to prove as a commercial mass hero and with what we watched of him till now it would be a daunting task for the youngster to impress as a mass hero. Maybe these heroes should first concentrate upon banking on their skills and attempt mass films after few years.

Director Krish casts Only Old Heroines

He is known as the intellectual director and so far his movies have not only provided entertainment but had a tinge of philosophy in them. Though he is just two films old he is already rated as the top league directors of Tollywood. We are talking about Jagarlamudi Radhakrishna fondly known as Krish.

Now, he is busy with the shaping up of his new movie 'Krishnam Vande Jagadgurum' and this has the towering hunk Daggubati Rana in the lead. The talk about the project is the interest that Krish has only for old babes. Apparently, sources say he approached the awesome beauty Anushka for the role of leading lady.

However, that didn't work out and instead of going for someone like Kajal Agarwal or Samantha, it is heard that Krish has now roped in the gracious looking Nayantara. While it might look a little odd to see Rana with Nayan, sources say Krish is confident the combo will work and the characterizations fit them both aptly. Let us see how this goes.

Ram Charan banks on him and her !

Ram Charan's Racha is going to be the first film to release in Tamil and Malayalam along with Telugu. Earlier NTR's Shakti released in Telugu and Tamil simultaneously and Allu Arjun's Badrinath released on the same day in Malayalam and Telugu. Mahesh Babu's Businessman was planned to release in Tamil and Malayalam, but that didn't happen.

Racha producers are making sure that it releases in Tamil and Malayalam in a big way. Ram Charan can assure bumper opening in Telugu, but how can one expect him to draw crowds in Tamilnadu and Kerala? Cherry gets good support from Tamanna to grab the attention of Tamilians. Tamanna is a well known actress and darling of masses in Tamilnadu. Her presence can pull good number of audience and the rest will depend upon the film's worth.

Charan's Magadheera did well in Malayalam, but Allu Arjun's cousin factor will act as a buffer to him for Racha. We all know that Bunny is a very big crowd puller in Kerala. If Racha manages to entertain Kerala audience, Allu Arjun's name would help to get the major pull. Let's wait and watch if Racha possess the content that has universal acceptance or not?

Esha Deol got engaged to her businessman boyfriend Bharat Takhtani on February 12 (Mumbai Mirror, February 10). And now Hema Malini's elder daughter is ready to tie the knot in June.

Excited about her daughter's wedding, Hema told Mirror, "We've decided on a June wedding for Esha. So what if the monsoon may set in? Even the rain Gods will bless my daughter." However, we've learnt that the shaadi may take place on July 29. "Hema believes in the mahurat being auspicious. She will finalise the exact date keeping that in mind," said a source close to the family.

Hema told us that the ceremony wouldn't take place at her Juhu bungalow. "It's okay to have the engagement and other small functions in the house. But managing a wedding at home would be too much," said Hema. About Bharat, Hema added, "Bharat and Dharamji get along really well. We feel we're getting a son into the family."

As for Esha, she is busy focusing on her marriage at the moment. According to our source, the actress will not sign any film for the time being. "She may later get back to movies if the offer is meaty and lucrative," said the source.

'Rachcha' to shake Lungis in south

It is known news that mega powerstar Ram Charan Tej is all set to arrive with his new movie 'Rachcha' and recently he also wrapped up his dubbing portion. Now, it is  heard that the makers have decided to make the release big and they would be having a simultaneous release in Malayalam. 

Sources say the Mollywood version has been titled as 'Raksha' and given the fact that Cherry's cousin Allu Arjun has already got a strong following  among the Kerala  masses, they want the same reception for Charan too. On the other hand, the young heroes have been coming up with plans to expand their presence in other regions. 

The film is directed by Sampath Nandi and a lot is also being rested on the glamour quotient of the leading lady Tamannah. The milky white beauty has burned the screen to ashes with her hot sex appeal and few stills and promos of the film have been evidence enough. Jr NTR puts Trisha in trouble

 Senior actress Trisha is currently doing Dammu movie with NTR, for which she has been on a strict diet to look young and compatible opposite the young star. Trisha has slimmed down a lot as she has been working out rigorously besides doing power yoga and all. This has taken a heavy toll on her and her health was badly affected due to it.

Trisha has collapsed on the sets recently after consuming lots of energy to match the speed and grace of NTR in a mass song. Doctors advised her to take good rest as she is not a perfect condition to carry on with the shoot. Hence, the actress has taken one week’s leave from work and is right now resting at home.

Well, news is that RP has changed the title of his film to ‘Friendsbook’ and the reason for that is the experience of Manoj and his team for his movie ‘Mr Nookayya’. Despite the fact that ‘Mr Nookayya’ worked as an indirect promotion to the mobile brand Nokia, the corporate was not keen on this and gave a hard time to Manoj and the unit.
 
Sources say RP felt he might go through the same stuff with Facebook if he continued with the same title. So now, it has become ‘Friendsbook’ and the release date remains the same ie March 30th. As such, the film gained enough mileage with the social networking site’s name so let us hope it lives up to the hype created.

There is a strong grapevine that the six-pack beauty rejected Raviteja's 'Devudu Chesina Manushulu', though the mass-hero pleaded her a lot. At least, the oomph factor should have paid off like Maheshbabu-Kajal's 'Businessman' songs, but that is also not happening here with Genelia looking unexciting. Currently, he is acting in Puri Jaganadh's latest movie 'Devudu Chesina Manushulu', where his style and acting are completely re-defined. 

According to a source, in the way Puri has remade Mahesh in Pokiri and Prabhas in Bujjigadu, he is doing that to Ravi now. 'Nippu' had opened the eyes of many people that only hero's 'regular mannerisms' and 'acting penchant' will not save a film until it is supported by a strong storyline and characterization. Trade report: Shiva Ratri releases

Maha Shiva Ratri witnessed three notable releases at Tollywood box office. Raviteja's Nippu was the red hot one prior to release due to star value and Sunil solely brought instant craze to Poola Rangadu. Siddharth's excessive efforts raised curiosity over his Love Failure. All three films verdict is out and let's see the status of these movies at the box office.

Raviteja's Nippu opened with decent collections, but there is a drastic fall from the second day itself. Nippu has received mostly negative reviews from the noted critics and the public response is even worse. This has been out rightly written off as a disastrous movie. Nippu's collections didn't see any rise on Sunday and Monday (Shiva Ratri). Collections on Tuesday and Wednesday indicate that the film is only going down the hill. As per the trend, Nippu might end up as a bigger flop than Veera for Raviteja.

Poola Rangadu:

Sunil's Poola Rangadu is clear winner among the three releases. Thanks to Sunil's comedy and dances, mass audiences are going gaga over the film. The business is not big in A centers as expected. But the film is getting very good response in B and C centers. Poola Rangadu may collect over 15 crore share in full run, as per the early estimates.

Love Failure:

Siddharth played triple role for this film. He acted, produced and also distributed the movie. Actor Sid is more than happy with the positive response and producer Sid is content for earning back the investment prior to the release. But the distributor Sid has been experiencing mixed results as of now. Love Failure has been doing reasonably good in Hyderabad. But the returns in other areas including big centers like Vijayawada and Vishakapatnam have been below average. The concept and treatment of the film is very urbane and therefore Love Failure is finding it tough to convert the positive response into solid revenue!

Comedian turned hero Sunil cannot be taken lightly anymore. At least the mid range heroes who fall in the zone of Rs. 12 to 20 crore, can't mess with this dancing sensation. When Sunil's first film Andala Ramudu collected over 10 crore rupees from the theatricals, it was brushed off as a fluke feat.

When Maryada Ramanna raked in over 20 crore plus collections, most of the credit was given to Rajamouli. But with Poola Rangadu, Sunil proves his mettle as a hero yet again. This film has got openings on par with star heroes and the atmosphere at the cinema halls is unbelievable. Sunil's dances and his six pack abs are being cheered and applauded by the masses.

As per early estimates, Poola Rangadu is likely to collect over 15 crore rupees from the theatricals alone. This whole credit will go to one and only Sunil. The numbers will easily escalate over Rs. 20 crore, if he is supported by a star director. So dear folks, a new star is born with Poola Rangadu. Hail Sunil! 

Young Hero Torturing Top Choreographers

General notion is that Choreographers torture heroes and heroines sweetly with their hard-compositions. It is for the best output of the film only. Here, things are going other way round, as Nikhil is torturing choreographers, say sources.

By and large, dance moves are composed basing on the body language and easiness of the actor doing it. A 'move' created for Jr.NTR or Ram Charan cannot be given to Mahesh Babu as he is not ease at dancing. Likewise, if a guy like 'Allu arjun' is present, choreographers take it as a challenge to create their best and hard ones. Nikhil falls in the slot of an average dancer as he never exhibited his extra-ordinary dancing skills. 

To carve a niche for himself in dances that have a lion's share in entertaining audiences, Nikhil is forcing choreographers for hard-steps. According to sources, he is not allowing them to give him simple-moves and is trying hand at all those body twisters performed by stars like NTR and Charan. Nikhil, not being a seasonal dancer and trying variety with lot of physical strain is something to be noticed here. That looks like the right spirit an young hero should possess!
